Conclusion: If you have some extra money to spend, pay a few more dollars and get this

instead of a vanilla WRT54G, especially if you want the flexibility of custom firmware.

I wouldn't recommend this router to the novice computer user unless you want to learn a lot

about home networking in a hurry. The average user may never realize that the network is

not running at 100% but there is a lot of tweaking that can be done to this router.

Also I found that the Playstation 3 is required to be my place in the DMZ to avoid entire

network crashes. Also to get top performance from the Xbox360 and certain Wii games

there is quite a bit of port forwarding to do. Along with port forwarding certain applications

for computer use esp. if you have a lot of downloading app for mp3's torrents or whatever.

All these things require the device being placed on static IP addresses. None of that is

really *THAT* complicated but a little more complicated this it should be.

I also found that a Series 6 Samsung TV connected to the internet (live stocks and weather)

will crash the network. And while giving the TV a static IP and placing into the DMZ appears

to fix the problem the OEM firmware only gives you 1 slot of the DMZ. So what's it going to

be, a TV or PS3 that crashes the network?
